I have been a huge fan of Third Coast products since I tried my first gluten free and dairy free chocolate chip cookie over a year ago. I would honestly prefer these cookies over traditional chocolate chip cookies I grew up with because they taste so good! The difference is all about how they approach baking. It’s all about chemistry – how ingredients react to each other and the flavors they create. Every product is gluten free, dairy free and doesn’t contain any preservatives. Over the past year I have tried many Third Coast products and each one has taken countless hours for them to perfect, but each bite tastes like perfection!
Here are some of my favorites that you will want to snatch up when you are in the Traverse City area.
Gluten Free Cheery Cherry Breakfast Cookie
Each bite of this soft cookie is savory and simply delicious. It offers the perfect combination of dried cherries, chocolate and cookie. It’s a great option for a sweet breakfast treat with toasted nuts, oats, flax, and peanut butter besides dried cherries and chocolate. It’s hard to believe that it’s gluten free and dairy free, but it is. The only downside is that it disappears fast, so you will have to buy a few. Perfect choice with your favorite cup of coffee!
Gluten Free Italian Croutons
I bought my first bag of these from the prompting of another customer, thinking it was odd to buy croutons from a bakery at the farmer’s market. These are buttery (although dairy free) and the seasoning is amazing. They make any boring salad beyond tasteful and they were my go-to for a quick snack. The best part is that each crouton is small, so it doesn’t take a million bites to chew before getting to savor the taste and crunch. Yeah, I have never snacked on croutons, but I had to hide the bag to make it last. Purchase your own on Third Coast’s website.
Gluten Free Classic Chocolate Chip Cookie
The classic chocolate chip cookie is beyond tasteful. Each bite is delightful and it’s really hard to find a gluten free cookie that is soft, let alone dairy free and tasty. This is the ultimate chocolate chip cookie and it goes perfectly with a class of almond milk. Time to bring back cookies and milk. Purchase your own on the Third Coast’s website.
Gluten Free Pumpkin Donuts
The changing colors and crisp air makes me dream about donuts, so I finally had to find a gluten free pumpkin donut. I called Potter’s Bakery and was delighted to find out they carried many Third Coast products. I hesitated at buying a box of donuts, which is what was available to purchase, but I quickly got over that after my first bite into a maple-glazed pumpkin donut. The cinnamon spice donut was also amazing! They were soft and tasted like regular donuts. The only thing I would change would be cutting out some of the sugary glaze because it’s really sweet, probably just because I don’t eat as much sugar as most people. Check out the donut flavors available on Third Coast’s website.
Where to Buy Third Coast Products
Third Coast Bakery products have become widely popular in Traverse City and are available at so many great locations, including Oryana, Potter’s Bakery (Hull Street and 8th Street locations), Espresso Bay, Edson Farms, and Moomer’s Ice Cream. Visit their website to see the full list of where to buy and details about the ingredients in each product available to purchase online. I usually find Third Coast products in a refrigerator, but it just depends on the product. Your gluten free friends and family will adore you when you show up with a special and unexpected treat or order it online and ship it anywhere in the U.S – including custom orders! Stay tuned, because I know they are working on a store location – I selfishly hope it’s on the west side of Traverse City.
